When it comes to body hair removal, I have one heck of an uphill battle. My hair is super thick and dark, there isn’t a blonde hair in sight. So keeping up with shaving, waxing, and plucking is a constant predicament. Shaving has almost always been my method for hair removal. I have tried all the other methods, but I found shaving to be easiest to do yourself. But, just like everything else, shaving is still expensive and very time consuming. And, for me, disheartening. I can shave my legs, and by the time I am putting on my body oil or lotion I can already see the thick black hairs under my skin. That might be one of the biggest letdowns ever. You spend all this time shaving and for what? The hairs pop back through before you can take a breath.
Before becoming pregnant with Charlotte, I had been looking into laser hair removal pretty seriously. I have friends who have done it and raved about it. But since I became a mom, I haven’t had the time or money to go and get it done. Lucky for me there is now a way to do it at home myself. Kohl’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond now sell the Flash&Go hair removal device by Silk’n.
The Flash&Go is super easy to use. At first I was a little nervous about using this tool by myself, but after reading the directions (which you should always do) I got the hang of it quickly. When I use this method to remove hair, I make sure to clean and exfoliate my skin before first.
After using the tool, I always go in with a body oil to hydrate my skin.. I have used the Flash&Go a few times now, and I can already see a difference in my hair growth. I started by using the tool from the knee down on my legs where my hair is thickest. As the instructions suggest, I have scheduled my treatments in two-week intervals. After the 4th treatment, Silk’n says you can use the Flash&Go once per month for maintenance. I saw great results after my 3rd use and love how much time I’m saving versus my normal shaving frequency.
Just like the laser hair removal you would receive in a salon or dermatologist office, this tool WILL lead to permanent hair removal. The only down side to this hair removal device is that it only works best on lighter skin tones. The laser needs to be able to lock on to the dark pigment in order to differentiate the dark hair from the skin.
I am so beyond excited that a removal device like this is available now for home use. I spend hundreds of dollars a year on razors and countless hours shaving each week. This little baby seems to be on its way to changing all that. With the gifting season right around the corner, I would definitely recommend heading to Kohl’s to purchase one of these for yourself or anyone in your life who struggles to keep the hair away.
Once you get your hands on this Flash&Go hair removal device, go to keepongifting.com to receive a $25 gift card and be entered to win a trip to Aruba where you can really show off your legs. You can even redeem the gift card up to 3 times which gives you a total of $75 to spend at Kohl’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I’ll have to look into this! I have a TRIA that I’m currently using, but I’m always looking into new products!
