Dark circles – Some of us are lucky enough not to have them, me on the other hand… not so lucky. With the lack of sleep I have been getting since my daughter thinks its super funny to take late naps and stay up late at night – I haven’t been getting enough sleep so my dark circles are out in full force. So with that being said I thought now would be the perfect time to give you babes a quick tutorial at how to conceal dark circles.
After foundation – Using a small brush, apply an under eye brightening corrector. Becca’s Under Eye Brightening Corrector is my little secret to covering my dark circles. It is a light peachy, pink shade with ultrafine light-reflecting illuminators to instantly brighten your under eyes. Once applied in a V shape – blend product out with damp beauty blender.
Apply concealer to under eye area in a V shape, I like to call this the Triangle of Light – haha. I heard someone say that on YouTube forever ago. The reason we should apply concealer in a V shape rather than a small U shape is too brighten up your face along with the under eye area so that it draws all the attention to your eyes rather than just that area directly under the eye- aka (raccoon eyes). How man times can I say under eye in this post? Any who, like I was saying apply your favorite concealer in a V shape and blend out with damp beauty blender. For concealer, I normally use Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer or Maybelline Fit Me Concealer that are a few shades lighter than my foundation/skin color. This will help with the whole brightening thing have going on to conceal those sassy dark circles of ours.
Set the concealer with a brightening powder (or translucent whatever works best for you), I personally love the MAC Shaping Powder in the shade Emphasize. If you are darker skin tone than I, this shade would most likely be too light. When I am spray tanned I mix it with a the banana shade from the Anastasia contour kit.
So there you have it, quick easy how to conceal dark circles. Keep your under eyes bright and concealed in a V shape to hide those pesky dark circles! What steps do you take to hide your dark circles?
