Happy Monday Dolls! I hope you all had as great of a weekend as I did. Friday I spent the morning with my friend Amy shooting the photos for this week’s post and checking out her new office space! You go girl, moving on up! Later on Friday, John, Char and I headed over to my friend Samantha’s house for pizza/wine night/play time for the kids. Those really are some of my favorite nights because Sam, Amy and myself can girl talk while the kids play and our husbands have their guy time. I love the little family we all have created. I have no clue how I am going to feel when we move away in a month. How do you just pick up and leave AGAIN? Ugh, but we still have a month or so together, so I will have to make the most of it!
Saturday John, Char and I went on a few last minute shopping trips to gather the last items we needed for our little beach vacation. Oh, along with packing which, yes… I waited until the last day to do. Sunday, we waited until Charlotte’s normal nap-time at noon to get on the road in hopes she would sleep most of the 3.5 hour drive down to FL. Pshhhhh that was a joke, she may have slept for 1.5 hours. The rest of the time she was crying or screaming. Gotta love the terrible twos which she seems to have started about 5 months early.
But we did make it finally to Destin, FL and we were greeted by my Momma and Step Dad! I did good …I didn’t even cry this time. Normally every time I see my Momma or have to leave her I cry like a baby – Momma’s girl. However, it had only been a month since I saw her last. I am so excited for this week for a lot of reasons. Tomorrow we will get to take Char to see the beach for the first time. We will get to visit the base John lived on for 9 months and just get to vacation with my parents, which I haven’t done since I was in middle school.
But the part of this week I am most excited for is my Be Bona•Fide post. This week I am going to be taking a short break from beauty blogging and share with you a few of my “confessions” as the ladies of Be Bona•Fide call them. Things about my life I do not normally show on social media. In other words, what my real life looks like. I hope in sharing my truth that it will help someone else realize that life isn’t what Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or any social media outlet portrays it to be. Life is real, unedited, unfiltered, and raw. Starting tomorrow I will be chatting about things I am insecure or self-conscious about, or just not proud of. Here is the Be Bona•Fide message….
B O N A • F I D E
adjective.
1. real, genuine
Lets get real- we are not perfect.
“Social media can seem all about painting that perfect picture. Perfect kids, perfect vacations, perfect makeup, perfect body, and so on. Nowadays with technology at our fingertips we are all striving to portray that an image of how we want others to view us.
That is not real life; having struggles is real life. Those struggles have molded us to the people we are today.
But now we want to know what makes you real.
We will be featuring some of our favorite bloggers and social media gurus but most importantly YOU.
We want to provide an outlet of unedited footage that everyone can relate to and help lift each other.”
I came across the girls of Be Bona•Fide’s message via another blogger I know. Their message is amazing and one I think we all could learn a thing or two from. Social media runs most of our lives these days. It is important to know what is real, genuine, or authentic – whatever word you want to use.

P.S. John is watching the Twilight Breaking Dawn part two on TV as I am writing this and I just realized I have NEVER seen it! How is this possible? I am really upset with myself about this. I will be renting this ASAP so I can watch it from the beginning. So upset.
See you tomorrow!
