Happy FriYay, dolls! I can’t believe this week is already over. The week flew by even faster than normal. Last weekend was such a crazy week/weekend with leaving home again and making the long trip back to Georgia. It is always hard saying goodbye to our family and friends in STL. But over the past few years, I have learned it’s not goodbye…just until next time.
We always stop and stay the night in Nashville on the way back to break up the 11 hour drive for Char. She had such a blast in the hotel. We ordered room service, watched the new Cinderella movie and had an early morning swim before check out. Traveling with a toddler is even harder than a baby, since she now has a full sense of self. She wants what she wants, when she wants it. So the swim and breakfast were key to getting her to sleep most of the ride. And, for the time she was awake, we just jammed out to the Tangled & Frozen sound tracks! Let it gooooo, Let it goooo…over, over and over again. Ahhh #parentlife !
After a week, I think we are finally feeling settled in at home. The piles of laundry are almost done and put away. John has settled back into his daily routine with work. Char, the dogs, and I are back into our little daily routine. Andddd, I am almost caught up on the work I got behind on while I was home. After this trip home, I realized just how lucky I am to have the life I have. I get really down sometimes being so far away from everything/everyone I have known my whole life. But I have so much to be thankful for. I have a smart healthy toddler, wonderful friends (at our old home and new), a family that loves me unconditionally, and a husband that would move mountains for me.
John always makes an effort to get me home when I need a break from the Army life. He will drive all day and night to get us there and back. I am so thankful for him and all he does for us. Hopefully, in the next few weeks there will be some good news on our army situation and we can finally move on to a new and exciting chapter in our lives together. After the whirlwind of drama and chaos with his reenlistment/reclass to a new job, I am ready for the future! We have had some really rocky times lately, but because we are best friends, lovers, and partners in this crazy life I know we can get through anything thrown at us. I am so lucky to have him by my side as a husband and father to our wild woman of a toddler.
So cheers to the weekend dolls, I hope you all have a fabulous one. I have A LOT of great product reviews coming next week, so stay tuned for that! And remember to be thankful for all of the wonderful people in your life!

i usually avoid booking hotels with pools on road trips, because after a long day the last thing we want to do is swim with two tired toddlers, but I love your morning swim idea! What a great way to release some energy before the day gets going.

It was our first time trying it and it worked wonders! Every time we try at night the pool is always packed, in the morning there was no one there!
