Mon·day
ˈməndā,ˈməndē/
noun
1. the day of the week before Tuesday and following Sunday.
2. most hated day of the week.
It’s here again, the day that most of us absolutely dread (unless it’s your day off) – Monday. For most of us, this is the day we head back to the grind and the fun of the weekend has passed. It’s the day that we say, “no more donuts” and go back to brown rice and vegetables. Who gets excited about that? However, on this particular Monday, I am not too unhappy. Today something exciting is happening, and I need your help!
Lately I have been wondering what is next for me and The Whitney Story. This little space of mine is now over a year old and has already gone through so many changes. But what is next for this here blog? In the blogging world there is so much competition, especially when you have just one niche. It has been a little overwhelming trying to “Keep up with the Jones” when it comes to beauty blogging. I have been wondering if I should get back into sharing outfits, or should I share recipes, should I share more of my personal life, should I start a YouTube beauty channel? Or just stick to beauty type posts here, and go at my own pace? So many ideas running around in my head, and I just don’t know which way to go!
Which brings me to how and why I need your help. You are the one who reads this blog. You know what you like, dislike, and what you wish you saw more often. Do you like fashion posts where I share outfit inspirations? Or would you rather hear about a new beauty product? Maybe posts about my journey in photography? Or just hear more about what’s going on in my personal life? Or something else completely different? I write for myself and I also write for you. I want this to be a fun, happy place you come in order to take a second for yourself to get away from the grind of everyday life. So, let’s work together and make The Whitney Story the best it can be! Please let me steal a few minutes of your time for you to fill out my very first reader survey. I would really and deeply appreciate it! Also, please feel free to answer anonymously in order to give me criticisms; I just want you readers to be as honest as possible. There will be no hard feelings, I promise! Thank you so much for your time and readership, it means the world to me.
