Hey Dolls, Happy Fri-YAY!
Another week has come and gone. Remember when you were little and days felt like they dragged on and on? I remember my parents would say as you get older it goes faster and faster. So true. I feel like the first time I noticed my days flying by I was working at the car dealership and bartending at the same time. Having one full time job in the day and a part time at night was a killer. As the years have passed, I have become busier and busier with work. Ugh, now as a stay at home momma, my days, weeks, months and now years just mix together like one day. I was looking at TimeHop today, if you don’t know it is an app you link to social media or your computer and it pulls pictures and post from what you were doing on that day 1, 2, 3 years ago etc… Last year, Charlotte rolled over for the first time a few days ago and rolled over the other way today. Seriously, were did the time go? Where did my baby go? I can’t believe she is learning to talk now. I am so glad I take so many pictures and videos of her to remember this time.
I always think I want to go back to work full time. I loved working and would work as many hours as I could get. I was the overtime queen. But when it really comes down to it I would miss Charlotte so much. Sure, she drives me crazy all day long. But then there are those sweet moments. Those moments when she just comes up and gives me a kiss without me even asking. Or when she figures out how to do something new or thinks something is really funny. Ahhh I love this time with this crazy little girl.
This week we officially became a one car family again. The car John has been driving to work was his friend Wyatt’s, who was deployed to Africa and is now back stateside. I can’t thank him enough for letting John drive his car while he was away. But now what do Char and I do all day while John is at work 12 plus hours? I need to find more ways and fun things to do at home to keep us busy and to pass the time. For me the day normally flies by. I wonder how long the days seem to her? Does her day seem like my week? If so, no wonder she is a mess by 5pm everyday! I would be too. We have always had Char on a strict bedtime routine. At 7-730 every night that babe is in her high chair eating dinner. Bath time right after for about 30 mins. Then it’s lotion and pajamas, milk and bed. We finally got her off of the bottle a few weeks ago. A little late I know, but hey, what can ya do? She wasn’t ready to give it up.
I normally share outfits with you that I would have worn in my old way of life. Outfits that the girl before she became a mother would wear. Before Charlotte, I wore pumps almost everyday. I loved to get dressed up, still do obviously. But to be honest, I don’t dress that way on a daily basis. I wanted to share an outfit today that is still super cute but easy enough to wear to chase a toddler around. Kimonos are so popular this spring, and I love them. They are comfortable and easy to just throw on and go. The moment I saw this kimono at Express, I immediately thought of my moccasin boots! Paired with a fun, floral print cami, high waisted denim shorts, and dainty jewelry, it’s the perfect spring outfit to chase Charlotte around in and look good doing it!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
