Hey dolls
Sorry it has been so long again since I have posted a blog. Baby Charlotte, John and I have all been sick off and on since we arrived back home in Alabama from our trip to Illinois. We all had a flu bug that must have been going around when we were in the Midwest. Then Char got sick again this past week. She started with a small fever and I just figured she was teething. Poor girl, she had a 102 fever then broke out into a rash that turned out to be hives. I was super nervous because this was the sickest she had ever been. So after going back and forth on the phone with the nurses at her doctor’s office, we ended up just taking her in. The doctor told me she was having a reaction to her MMR vaccine and that she would feel better in a few days. Thank god she was right, Char is all better and back to her wild child self. So with everyone feeling better, we are back to business as usual at the Horton house.
Ok so enough of my crazy life the past few weeks.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Kim, the owner of Freckle Baby. She was kind enough to send me one of her super cute and handy bibs to try out! Right away I loved the idea of this bib. It was made with a leash that allows you to attach toys and pacifiers. I mean, where has this bib been all Charlotte’s life? I wish I had come across this brand sooner. I cannot count the number of pacifiers I have lost over her lifetime, or toys that have been dropped and lost as well. Char is always dropping her toys in the car and she gets fussy because she can’t get them back until we get where we are going. This bib really does solve your “on demand fetch routine” like Kim says.
We have been using this bib all weekend long to test it out. I have to say that it is perfect. I love the way it looks and feels along with the functionality. All Freckle Baby items are made with 100% organic cotton, which satisfies the hippie in John and I. Besides the leash for holding items that your baby drops constantly, I love that the bib has a snap on the back and not velcro. Since my daughter is like a little hulk baby at times and rips her bibs off, snap bibs work the best for her. Another thing I absolutely love about these bibs is that they are reversible. You get two super cute patterns. They come in four color patterns as well, so there is a bib for everyone to love.
Oh and yes… I said items. Freckle Baby is not just bibs! Kim makes bibs, hats & blankets! She has been in the business for a while now selling her items by word of mouth and on Etsy. Now she is ready to launch Freckle Baby. Today is the start of her Kickstarter for Freckle Baby. If you do not know what Kickstarter is, it is a company that helps bring businesses to life. By purchasing these items via Kickstarter, you are a bigger part of lending a hand to the growth of the Freckle Baby brand. I am so in love with the idea of helping stay at home mothers like me grow their businesses. The best thing about purchasing the items via Kickstarter…you get them at a discount! The first 100 people can buy 2 bibs for $20, $36 value. Additionally another super sale is the gift set normally $60, will be $36 for the first 100 moms!
