Hey Dolls, Happy Tuesday!
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had planned to post this update/story yesterday but I was so tired from this long crazy weekend and I have felt sick all day. So, I spent most of yesterday laying around and watching Disney movies with Charlotte.
This weekend was hands down one of the busiest and best weekends I have had in a long time. I have mentioned before that we have been a one car family for a few months now. Honestly, it was killing me to be stuck in the house all day everyday. But there was nothing we could do about it at the time so I just had to deal. Well, the time was finally right this weekend to go out and look for two new whips in the place of the one we had! John and I got up early Saturday morning to get ready, and then dropped Char off at our friends’ house. Then we headed to Montgomery, AL in hopes of returning with new cars. After a few test drives and John doing his magic with the salesman, we left with two cars: a Mazda CX-9 SUV for me, and a Ford Focus for him to drive to work. We got 2 new cars in place of Ford Fusion Titanium we had. All is right in the world again! I can leave the house to take Char to the park or pool (which we are doing today) and take my fur babies to the dog park on the regular!
Sunday was truly one of the most amazing days of my life. My bestie/blogger friend Samantha (The Samantha Show) was invited to a huge Bloggers Brunch/Fashion show with Faviana. Now, being the sweetheart she is, she got me an invite as well! So, Sunday morning I got up early, painted my face with my best makeup, curled my hair, popped on my new Romper and Fringed heels, and headed to ATL with Sam for this massive event. After an hour and a half long drive, we arrived at the Atlanta Apparel Mart! Now, can I just say that this place was probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Next to the beach, obviously. But seriously, there were 12 levels to this circle building and all 12 levels were FILLED with wholesale stores! So many shoes, clothes, and jewelry. I could have fainted, it was a shopping addict’s dream.
After being in complete awe of our surroundings, we found our way to the Faviana Showroom. I was so impressed when we showed up. We were greeted by the family behind the brand! Not just the PR people, but the whole family. Faviana is a family run business – everyone has a job with the brand whether it be designer or CEO. They were all so gracious and welcoming, they really made us feel comfortable and right at home with them.
The first part of the event was Brunch with some great bloggers, and Devin, who does marketing for Faviana. It was so wonderful to be in a room sharing Mimosas with other women who have the same interests. We talked fashion, blogging, and all kinds of things. REMINDER – must make business cards! I was the only one without them. But I guess up until this point I never really needed them. This was the first event I went to as a blogger. But I learned my lesson, and moving forward I will be ordering some ASAP!
After we chatted, drank Mimosas, and looked the the gorgeous dresses on the racks, we stat down for the runway show. Eekkk! While sitting there waiting the show, I found myself thinking, “How is this my life?” “How did I get this lucky to be sitting here with these remarkable women and watching such beautiful fashion come down this runway?” The show was fabulous, we saw so many great pieces. There were so many gorgeous prom dresses and formal pieces. Oh, and the new trend for prom this year…jump suits. Yaaasss jump suits! Girls are wearing jumpers and calling them Party Suits. I mean really, how cute is that? Why was that not a thing when I was in high school? It would have been so much easier to dance!
Faviana really is on top of their game when it comes to fashion and design for these gowns. It made me want to go back to high school just to buy a prom dress. Although, being an Army wife I know that sooner or later we will be attending another Military Ball and I will definitely be purchasing a Faviana Design!
This weekend was one of the best I have ever had. But it wouldn’t have happened without some pretty awesome people. I want to give a big thank you to my friend Sam for getting me an invite for this great event and to the people of Faviana for making such an amazing collection! I had the best time.
One more thank you to my loving husband who did everything in his power to get me a car, and watched our daughter all day Sunday so I could have a mommy day! I love you to pieces!
So what did you do this weekend and what do you think about the Faviana gowns?

I can’t think of anything more intimidating than meeting successful fashion bloggers. I would probably would have sat in front of my mirror for hours, rethinking my wardrobe at least 11 times. You looked super wonderful!!
