While we were on vacation in Destin, I was testing out a new Sun Care line – Soleil Toujours. This was the first time I have vacationed and used a Sunscreen versus some sort of tanning excelerator. I came across the brand on Instagram, and I instantly fell in love with the beautiful, sleek, black and gold packaging. Little did I know, this wasn’t just any Luxury Sunscreen with beautiful packaging. Soleil Toujours is all about practicing safe sun with sheer confidence.
For most of my life, I have been a baby oil or some other form of tanning product that had no SPF. In my teens and early twenties, I was all about baking my skin to a perfect brown biscuit color. Pshhh… those days are forever gone. After I had Charlotte, I could already tell a change in my skin from not tanning in tanning beds or laying out every time I had the chance. I started seeing more and more people having skin cancer and premature skin aging. As vain as I am and as much as I love a gorgeous tan, that was enough for me to breakup with my potentially dangerous sunning ways. Nowadays l try my best to wear sun screen everyday on both my face and body.
Soleil Toujours has impresed me in so many ways. Soleil Toujours is free of parabens, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfate, propylene glycol, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, synthetic color and is coral reef safe, hypoallergenic, vegan and gluten free! The Soleil Toujours promise is to provide the safest and most effective UV protection and a luxurious sensory experience all at once. Their sun care is based on the most advanced mineral-based sunscreen actives and all products are infused with powerful anti-oxidant and anti-aging ingredients to provide a multi-level defense that protects, corrects and boosts the health of skin. Soleil is the perfect marriage of effective sun care and exquisite skin care!
I loved using the SPF 50 while we were in Destin, I applied it before getting in my suit for the beach and after being in the water. I was so impressed, I did not have any sunburn, and the sun screen did not leave my skin feeling gross like most other chemical sun screens do. Most sun screens that you see on the market today have a terrible mixture of ingredients. Yes, I am sure they are keeping you from getting burned, but what else are those toxic ingredients doing in the process? Why protect yourself in one way and harm yourself in another? And the smell….ahhh the smell. I am such a sucker for a clean/sweet smelling product. This one is the perfect scent, no fake Hawaiian smell here. Just a semisweet, natural scent!
The sunscreen also applies white on skin so that you know exactly where you are protected (unlike chemical sprays that often result in missed spots) and then dries clear for a sheer finish. No random patchy burns here. This is not just a sunscreen I would use at the beach. I can easily see this product taking the place of my everyday lotion.
I also used Soleil Toujours Après Soleil Exotic Shimmer Body Oil for after sun. This dry body oil has skin softening benefits with the perfect hint of shimmer. The shimmer is a stunning reddish bronze color and will give the perfect glow for all skin types and colors. I applied this everyday after showering while on vacation. I felt like it gave me the most healthy looking glow! Oh, and the aroma was divine, you can really smell the natural ingredients… Rosehip Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Pomegranate Seed Oil, and Rosemary Leaf Extract.
You won’t find this luxury product line at the drug store. You can find the line at exclusive retailers, resorts and spas worldwide or on the Soleil Toujours website.
If you are looking for something that works as good or better than any drug store sunscreen, and has the added benefit of being nontoxic, this is your baby! I honestly can’t say enough good things about this product, I am so so happy it is now part of my sun care routine!
Are you practicing safe sun?

I definitely need to try this! I just got back from the Bahamas and ended up getting FRIED. I used sunscreen, but I guess it wasn’t the best. Definitely looking into this 🙂
