Hey Dolls,
If you dropped by yesterday then you know it was my 27th birthday. For the most part, I had a wonderful day…besides my 15 month old throwing wild tantrums left and right. Hey, it’s the life of a mother, eh? I also spent the day wondering about the next year and what it will bring. I also thought about the things that I needed to come to terms with since I am now 27 and not a young adult anymore.
1. Credit Cards are not “Free Money”.
2. My parents have been right…about mostly everything.
3. That extra glass of wine, not such a good idea anymore. Hangovers are ten times worse now.
4. When I eat bad, I feel bad. I can’t get Taco Bell on the daily anymore.
5. Sunscreen, is a requirement. After all my days in the tanning bed, I can’t afford anymore sun damage.
6. Family is everything, spend as much time with family as you can. Even if it is over the phone.
7. Some friendships have come and gone, but some will never change.
8. I can’t wear anything I want anymore…not everything looks fab after having a baby.
9. I can’t go to bed past midnight and feel like a spring chicken in the AM.
10. Time isn’t going to slow down, it will keep passing faster and faster.
So will I continue to shop with credit cards, eat fast food when I shouldn’t, or have an extra glass of wine after dinner? Maybe. Hopefully as the years go on I will grow older, wiser and learn from the past. My Dad always told me I wanted to grow up to fast. Ugh…like I said he was right. I should have enjoyed being young while I could!

Getting older is HARD. I celebrated my 29th a couple months ago, ouch! I have a 15 month old too 🙂 and yes our parents were right about EVERYTHING.
